# Summary

![Building the metaverse for esports and gaming, the right way.](/files/aQuV0oK6aLZ2t04lhBdc)

Esports One is building the future of the esports & gaming metaverse. By taking the concepts of community, competition, and fandom to the next level, we've create a unique virtual world with [digital arenas](/metaverse/metarena), fully powered by our own utility tokens and mutable NFTs.

Arenas are owned by creators, brands, esports teams, and you, the community. You'll be able to host a variety of virtual events and [experiences](/metaverse/experiences), from [fantasy esports](/metaverse/experiences/fantasy-esports) to [skill-based wagering](/metaverse/experiences/skill-based) to the first [esports sim leagues](/metaverse/experiences/simulated-leagues), all the while rewarding engagement with our own tokens. Users will leverage their knowledge of web 2 and web 3 games to collect a wide spectrum of NFTs, each with unique rarity and utility.

Our ARNA token is backed by digital collectibles that combine unique and familiar gamification mechanics all the while providing value and status based on fandom and skill, not chance. Users can stake their ARNA token to participate in arenas and compete for rewards based on how much and how long they've been staked. This ensures we can be fully focused on creating all new web 3 experiences that provide multiple forms of revenue for gamers and esports fans alike.

***This is what it takes to be the metaverse that makes sense.***

## Goals

To build a thriving community, we must create sustainable and value-added forms of engagement that incentivize active participation. This will be achieved by creating a crypto-enabled esports and gaming metaverse that benefits all users, not just a few, we can ensure a diverse and inclusive community of like-minded individuals.

To achieve this, we must create an on-ramp for shared ownership in the ecosystem that doesn't deviate from the underlying user experience.

### Our Focus

* Gamified fandom
* Building a 3D virtual interactive world
* Curating partnerships with brands, teams, and creators
* Accessibility into esports, crypto, and NFTs
* Sustainable and long-term value for $ARNA ownership
* Unlocking the true potential of NFTs

### We do this by...

* Building a clear and easy on-ramp into crypto and NFT's for creators, fans, and brands
* Creating and facilitating gamified virtual experiences and integrations that engage and reward players
* Establishing new and sustainable sources of revenue for any creator, big or small
* Supporting virtual and in-person engagement for esports fans around the world
* Monetizing through a shared ownership
* Bridging the gap between brands and creators

## Established Name in Esports & Gaming

Esports One began in 2017 to enhance the esports fan experience through stats and analytics. We spent the first year at MIT building an automated computer vision with semi-machine learning features capable of capturing and analyzing thousands of live-stream data points in real-time. We compiled and manipulated every team, player, and tournament data point we could find, going back as far as 2010. While the Esports One of 2017 (known initially as Esportsology) looks much different now than it did back then, our esports data has remained the backbone of who we are today.

In 2019, we shifted our focus towards doing what we love the most, building for the consumer that puts the community above anything else. This led to the creation of the first all-in-one fantasy platform built specifically for gamers.

Today, we're taking the next step in our journey and evolving Esports One to be fully decentralized and community-owned. We believe that this is the only path that can truly put the power of entertainment, fandom, and camaraderie into the users' hands.

# Our Approach

## **Metaverse**&#x20;

With the exponential growth of Web3 in 2021, the word 'metaverse' has emerged as a misleading buzzword to hype up any crypto and NFT project. We do not have to tell you that this is a worrying trend in a space, because you have probably realized this too. The promise of cosmetics or individual components do not constitute as a true "metaverse", they are components and building blocks, but selling it as the whole picture only hurts our industry that already has plenty of misconceptions.&#x20;

We aren't releasing an empty promise of a "metaverse"; instead, we are creating the infrastructure for a completely digital world. Our metaverse will feature virtual land, 3D buildings (Arenas), a sustainable economy, events, games, and experiences like no other. We have a proven track record and aren't going anywhere. We are a team of fully doxxed gamers and esports fan, ready to give our tools, expertise, and platform to you.

## **Gamefi Models**

Everyone loves the feeling of progression and being rewarded, and gamers and esports fans are no different. [63% of gamers want collectibles with real-world value](https://venturebeat.com/2020/12/09/vorhaus-advisors-63-of-gamers-would-spend-more-on-virtual-goods-with-real-world-value/), meaning they want rewards to have both a financial upside and to provide social value and status. They want a balanced reward system where they are recognized for their dedication, while not feeling like it's a grind or risking too much just to play. Esports One has spent countless hours researching game reward mechanics and we have found a sustainable solution.

\
The first two listed below are the most common gamefi models in crypto, and the third is the model we chose to use as the foundation for the esports metaverse:

### 1. Risk to Play&#x20;

Daily fantasy sports (DFS) was never meant to be "community first," but instead an evolution of the gambling industries. The same fans who would gamble on the outcome of games would be playing DFS. The difference was that these players were no longer competing against the house but instead other players. Winning required access to the best data models, insights, and, most importantly, the time to build the perfect lineups. For your average fan, they don't stand a chance.

![](/files/CAW7rMf7NJCXEAhO0lhz)

### 2. Play to Earn&#x20;

The crypto revolution has introduced projects that are leveraging what many MMORPG games have used in the past, Play to Earn. The appeal is evident since the idea of "Play to Earn" rewards users for just playing the game. However, with the valuable rewards only being aligned to those who can commit the most time to play, we felt it would make the esports metaverse feel like too much of a 'grind'. We also noticed that these limitations risk leading to an over-saturation of a token, and have previously destroyed video game economies in the past. While it works well in certain Web3 games, we didn't want people interacting with the esports metaverse to feel like it's a full-time job.

![](/files/Q5NO8OPfjcOCBtKtFhbl)

### 3. Stake to Play (Our Approach)

Unlike "**Risk to Earn**" and "**Play to Earn**", **Stake to Play** eliminates the small chance to be rewarded, and the excessive time and money spent to play. Stake to Play is rooted in the idea that by staking our token, $ARNA, you will gain access to more metaverse experiences, unlock additional features, and earn premium rewards, all based on how much you stake. If you decide you no longer want to be staked, you can withdraw the exact amount you initially deposited. Our model is all about investing in the community and earning rewards for it. Staked members will be a part of our Community DAO, giving you ownership of the platform and letting you vote on ways to improve your gameplay experience.

# Metarena

The future of stadiums and arenas in the metaverse

![](/files/lo9reNSSg4AR6imMkxGk)

### Metaverse Made For Gaming & Esports

We're building the digital landscape that connects esports and gaming under one virtual roof, from watching esports with your fantasy league to competing in weekly missions and achievements across your favorite video games to just hanging out with your community in your newly acquired avatar.

Arenas are digital NFTs representing virtual land in the esports metaverse and are the foundation for hosting fantasy contests, earning token rewards, and building communities. Every Arena will be unique and reside in its own region of the map called Districts, with the first arenas living in the Metapunk District and consisting of 1,000 unique arenas, each with varying rarity, traits, and utility.

![](/files/8qnbxGWMdd9dyWVm5lkG)

To access our Metaverse, users must hold a Metapass. However, access to Metarenas is solely up to owner discretion and can either be open-access, tied to NFT or token ownership, or based on the number of $ARNA tokens staked.

### Metarena Ownership

<div align="center"><img src="/files/If3WqbGCpBDFEDWLgCpS" alt=""></div>

Over time your Arena will earn experience (XP) and levels. Every ten (10) levels will unlock a new tier. Tier activation requires $ARNA tokens will enable additional features, including:

* Custom Arena Experiences (Fantasy, Viewing Parties, Skill-Based Gaming)
* Design & Mint Custom NFTs
* OneBot: Unique Discord Bot for Your Server
* Airdrops, Lotteries, and Giveaways
* Arena Battles
* Exclusive Marketplace
* DAO: Independent Governance

## Staking

### How Arena Staking Works

All arenas start at Tier 0 and will begin earning a percentage of the $ARNA weekly token allocation once staked. Staked Arenas gain experience will unlock the ability to upgrade the Arena to the next tier by spending $ARNA. Every tier upgrade will unlock the next level of $ARNA allocation (i.e., the Tier 1 allocation). The best part is that the Arena will still earn $ARNA allocation from the lower tiers.

In addition to arenas earning $ARNA and experience, owners will also passively earn $BYTE and be eligible for random rare Player Card drops and other airdrops. The higher the arena tier, the more contest, game title, cosmetics, and event functionality will become unlocked. These features will be unlockable using tokens earned from distributions, Forge, and playing in Metarena experiences.

* **Tier 0:** Level 1-9
* **Tier 1:** Level 10-24
* **Tier 2:** Level 25-49
* **Tier 3:** Level 50

### Staking Rewards

**Valuable Rewards**\
Owning an Arena provides a passive income of $ARNA, unlocks a rewarding leveling tier system, and enables rare NFT card airdrops.&#x20;

**Experiences**\
Arenas give you the power to host a range of exciting fantasy contests across various game titles and, eventually, sports titles.

**Community Building**\
Build your virtual venue & club to grow and engage with communities, guilds, and brands. Arenas will have a vast range of features and tools in the future to create an experience that is authentic and ever-expanding.&#x20;

## Clubs

Higher-tier Metarenas that meet specific requirements will have the ability to create a club. Participation in a club will require holding xARNA.

Clubs can create a shared asset (card) catalog to be delegated to club members. Arena owners receive a share from contests using club assets.

### Management Tools

* Club Name & Logo
* Look up individual member performance
* Admin Discord Bot&#x20;
* View detailed Club analytics

### Club Leagues&#x20;

Clubs can compete in LEAGUES for even bigger rewards. This is based on the amount of xARNA staked by all Club members.&#x20;

* Monthly Leagues
* Seasonal Leaderboard

*Earn ARNA from staking and scoring on global and arena leaderboards.* \
*Holding xARNA provides governance rights and share of fees from transactions.*

### DAO

Clubs will also be able to activate a DAO that enables governance mechanics.

## Partnerships

Arenas will be able to add customized branding to both the cosmetic look of the virtual venue and the marketing material for hosted events. &#x20;

While most Arenas will be owned and managed by individuals, certain Arenas owned by creators, teams, brands, and influencers can be verified as partners. Partnered arenas will have an additional partnered trait and be limited in total supply. After launch, arenas will have the ability to apply to become a partner through a verification process. This means any arenas can be partnered, even if you acquire from a secondary market.

Partnered arenas will have a slightly aesthetic that allows for custom branding, sponsor integrations, access requirements, and additional asset creator tools. Arena owners can build an Arena around their brand, favorite game title, and community.&#x20;

We are constantly building the partner program and accepting new members to launch their arenas. If you, your company, or someone you would like to nominate for the program, please get in touch with us on [Discord](https://discord.gg/e1) or [Twitter](https://twitter.com/esportsone). We will eventually hand over governance of the partner program to OneDAO to ensure it always remains in line with the community values and goals.

### Verification

We will require all partners to verify their identity before making them eligible to mint custom branded assets. Once approved, partners will begin the onboarding process to help ensure mutual success.

It's important to note that a partner's account must adhere to strict security requirements that protect the integrity of the ecosystem, including:&#x20;

* Verifying and authenticating their identity
* Securely configuring their account and connecting their wallet.
* Designing guidelines for NFT assets&#x20;
* Determining what the ideal traits and rewards should be&#x20;
* Integrating OneBot on their Discord server, allowing their community to share their NFT collection and fantasy performance and earn bytes

### Brand/Sponsor Marketplace

We are also creating a marketplace for brands where owners can accept sponsorships for their arenas. This ensures we constantly develop more value for owners while bringing real-world brands into the metaverse.

# Experiences

Metarena owners can access a range of gamified feature add-ons- experiences - that are activated directly from the dashboard. Experiences are pre-built features made available to Metarena owners. No longer will Metaverses rely solely on UGC (User Generated Content). Instead, owners can enable, upgrade and customize the experiences available for their communities.

<div align="center"><img src="/files/Am39tVzbd3vlNuD42nuv" alt=""></div>

Experiences are features created by Esports One and can be utilized by any eligible arena. Owners will be able to enable experiences for their arena, allowing users to access and participate by staking directly in the arena. Experiences at their core are gamified components and tools used to engage and entertain your community. They are all optional and provide token & NFT rewards.

### **Integrations**

Integrations work similarly to experiences, with the difference being they are gamified reward systems connected to off-platform games created by partnered publishers and web3 projects. Utilizing 3rd-party APIs, integrations will provide a variety of rewards for your community, such as exclusive partner NFTs, [POAPs](https://medium.com/poap/what-is-poap-d7e8fdfc207d), and airdrops.

# Fantasy Esports

Esports One's signature Fantasy platform, exclusive to Metarenas

![](/files/Btg0AARJiu0uz24qMZN6)

Like fantasy football, soccer, basketball, and baseball, fantasy esports is a stats-based game that makes watching esports more exciting and engaging. As a team manager, you will create a lineup of real-life professional esports players; when your selected players compete in their matches, your fantasy lineup will score points based on each player's performance.\
\
The first available esports title will be the globally popular game, [League of Legends](https://www.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/), where two teams of five real-life professional players compete to be the first team to destroy the opposing team's nexus or home base.

#### Future Fantasy Game Titles

The beauty of fantasy esports is the ease of onboarding new game titles since all that's needed is access to the developers' third-party API and slight adjustments to the ruleset and scoring. This means we can add popular esports titles and exciting new blockchain games, as approved by OneDAO.

## Stake to Play

![Participation in Metarena's will require staking $ARNA tokens to earn better rewards and unlock new experiences.](/files/kcwrYnAqBbUJRoL5nnH2)

* **Staking** will grant access to more arenas and fantasy contests across the esports metaverse. Staked Managers are rewarded with $ARNA & $xARNA, in addition to rare cards based on contest performance, and passively rewarded with $BYTE.&#x20;
* **Unstaked** will still grant access to a select range of contests, with rewards distributed in $BYTE.

## How to Play Fantasy

### **Getting Started**

The first step is going through the onboarding experience; this will be where fantasy managers will learn the basics of playing esports fantasy on the metaverse and receive their first collection of cards. We will initially launch with support for League of Legends, with more game titles to come soon.

### **Collect Cards**

![](/files/Ww1bDif8LJoToo3YxWt3) ![](/files/NQjfGeYRKcOjMQpTZ6sO) ![](/files/xoKNHZAhyiy6OQTm7c6i)

Fantasy lineups are created by selecting the Player Cards you want to use in each contest. This means that the better the cards you collect, the better your lineup will potentially score. Common and uncommon cards can be earned through engaging on the platform or in packs paid for using $BYTE. Rare and higher cards can be bought, traded, and sold on the marketplace using $ARNA.

### **Arena Contests**

Playing fantasy starts by choosing an arena with a contest you want to join. Provided you meet the entry criteria, you will be able to enter! Metarenas can host competitions across global regions and tournaments, with various scoring types and varying rules - this ensures contests are always fresh and exciting!

### **Set Lineup**

Once you have entered a contest, you will need to build a lineup based on the requirements specified in that Arena's contest rules. The traditional League of Legends fantasy lineup consists of one player from each role; Top lane, jungler, mid lane, bot lane, and support. The idea is to pick the player cards based on the pro-players you think will perform the best that day/week.

### **Earn Rewards**

After you've submitted your lineup and all corresponding pro-players have finished their matches, your team will receive the points the assigned pro-player earned based on their real-life performance. The higher your team score, the greater your chance of earning rewards.

### Integrity

To create a system that reasonably drives competition and rewards, specific contests will restrict the player card rarities that can be used. For example, a user that has only collected common and uncommon cards can choose to compete against only users with similar cards. However, the managers who want to earn more significant amounts of $ARNA and rare player cards will have to enter the higher rarity or open contests!

## Collectible Player Cards

Arenas are only half of the esports fantasy experience. The other half belongs to you, the managers. Our fantasy experience puts the power to succeed in your hands. Building the best lineup of player cards not only gives glory but also rewards you in $ARNA tokens!&#x20;

Player cards are the foundation for creating your fantasy lineup and entering contests. Each player card is assigned to a real esports professional; when that player competes in actual matches, your fantasy player card scores points. As a manager, it's important to keep collecting, trading, and selling player cards so you can build the best possible lineups - just like a professional team!

### How to Acquire Player Cards?

Common and uncommon cards are obtained by purchasing packs using tokens, either earned passively or won from contests. Staked managers can earn rare player cards by winning contests. All managers can purchase higher rarity cards from 3rd party exchanges, auctions, and our marketplace.

### Card Rarities

Cards will have different rarities based on quality, value, and bonuses. The higher the rarity, the better the percentage bonus it provides. A rare player card will consistently score more than the lower rarity version. It's in the managers' best interest to collect the higher rarities as it will increase the likeliness of winning contests and earning $ARNA.

### Metadata

Each season and card will have unique metadata that determines everything from characteristics to rarity.

<details>

<summary>Properties</summary>

#### **Mutability**

NFT assets are made up of metadata that is either mutable or non-mutable. Mutable assets have metadata capable of evolving or changing depending on the evolution mechanic, while non-mutable asset metadata is locked once minted.

#### **Unique**

Every asset contains a set of properties that make them different. This will typically be the **UUID**.

#### Owners

This shows the number of owners the asset had and whether the current owner is the first owner of the ASSET.

#### **Traits**

Certain types of our NFTs are assigned traits that are non-cosmetic and provide extrinsic motivation and rewards. Traits can be activated once, multiple, or infinite times.&#x20;

**Profit-Sharing**

* Owning an ARENA entitles the user to share profits from future contest buy-ins.
* Partnered NFTs will include a royalty for future transactions of their NFT.

**Open-Source Bounty System**

* Contributors to our open-source projects will receive an exclusive *Developer NFT.*
* The *Developer NFT* levels up based on GitHub commits.
* Higher levels lead to more significant rewards.
  * $ESPORT Tokens
  * $BYTES
  * NFT Airdrops
  * Revenue from projects contributed towards.

    *Ex: Developer contributes towards Valorant Game Expansion and receives a share of Valorant contest revenue*

#### **Attributes**

Our NFTs have cosmetic elements that are predetermined, randomly assigned, or mutable as the token evolves.

#### **Tier**

Each NFT collection is assigned a rarity tier that determines the quantity that will ever be minted. This ensures our tokens are provably scarce and desirable in the short and long run.

#### Exclusivity

Certain NFT assets may include an exclusivity badge that restricts ownership to only fans of a creator that meet specific criteria, typically set by the token creator. These requirements will either be a first or third party.

**First Party**

* Social token ownership
* NFT assets held
* Account / Creator level

**Third-Party**

* Is the fan subscribed to the creator on Twitch?
* Social media follower status
* Discord activity
* Attended in-person event

</details>

<details>

<summary>Type</summary>

After minting an NFT, it can either be added directly to the Marketplace, attached as a fantasy contest reward, linked to a battle pass, or airdropped based on various criteria.

#### **Marketplace**

The Esports One marketplace provides a way for users to buy NFTs rewarded through the fantasy platform. The sale type can either be reserved price or auction. Smart contracts will control the flow of NFT transactions. Additionally, users with a certain number of $ARNA tokens will have exclusive access to NFTs not available to the public.

* Reserved Price: Pre-determined price that can be purchased using Tokens
* Auction: Starting price and length of time the auction will be live.

#### **Card Score**

* Each NFT has an independent quality score calculated based on rarity, quantity, and traits. The rarity and quantity will help determine the entry requirements for specific contests.
* Rewards: Attach NFT as a contest reward for winning or competing in a fantasy contest.

*NFT\_SCORE = QUALITY\_SCORE + (ARENA\_TIER \* 1.25)*

#### **Airdrop & Lotteries**

Holders of $ARNA token and Metapass will be eligible for daily and weekly airdrops and lotteries. A few things that might be airdropped are additional token allocations, free contest entries, NFT upgrade potions, virtual and physical merchandise, Creator experiences, and many more.

# Simulated Leagues

What's the primary constraint when playing fantasy esports/sports? **The match schedule.**

Using League of Legends LCS (North America) as an example: \
The pro teams play 2-3 times weekly on weekends (and sometimes Fridays).&#x20;

So, let's say I set my fantasy lineup on Monday; I have to wait nearly five days to see any "action" for how well I performed. This is a significant issue when bringing DFS (Daily Fantasy) to the esports industry.&#x20;

<div align="center"><img src="/files/l78ERBTDSHLD1jGiAD3a" alt=""></div>

In addition to the traditional fantasy esports experiences available for all arenas, we are building the first ***Simulated Esports & Gaming Leagues***. If you've ever played a game like [Zed Run](https://zed.run), you may have an idea of where I'm going with this. And while you are partially correct, we're thinking much further than that.&#x20;

Every hour we will host a variety of simulated matches where you can enter your lineup of players and teams, each with varying stats, bonuses, attributes, multipliers, and of course, rarity, and earn points based on how well they performed in that simulated contest.

### Our Unique Advantage

We've spent the past four years aggregating statistics on every match, team, and player, going back to 2010. This data is used to create predictive analysis and models, fully enabled by machine learning, which has calculated tens of millions of professional, amateur, and casual matches worldwide.&#x20;

# Skill-Based

Arenas will have the ability to host skill-based experiences based on in-game performance and overall skill level. Users can connect their avatar/account to game publisher APIs (Web2 & Web 3), where we can easily track performance in-game.

As an Arena owner, you can specify the following:

1. Game Title
2. Access requirements&#x20;
   1. Entry fee ($ARNA/$BYTE)
   2. Account Level
   3. NFT Owned (Metapass, 3rd Party, etc.)
   4. Free
3. Number of Entries
4. Prizes
   1. Tokens: Pulled from the Arenas staking pool
   2. NFTs: Custom-made or supplied by brand sponsors
   3. XP: Account experience in the host Arena
5. Skill Requirements&#x20;
   1. Is there a minimum number of games played (prevent smurfing)
   2. Rank, MMR
6. Scoring
   1. Default
   2. Custom Made

### How will we prevent smurfing/match fixing?

In addition to user reports, we will release our custom crypto wallet built for gamers, Passport.

Passport will allow users to connect their gaming and social accounts and establish a Web3 identity system. While protecting a user's privacy, we will use this along with wallet history, platform activity, and other factors to develop a reputation system specific to certain experiences that bad actors will most likely target.

# Online Events

### Virtual Venues of the Metaverse

Arenas will become the interactive 3D locations for events and tournaments in the esports and gaming metaverse. Arena owners will have the freedom to use their space to host their communities' events and tournaments (for Fantasy/Web3 games) or can choose to lease this space to brands and other communities to run their own activations. In the future, Players in these communities can virtually walk around and interact inside the Arenas with their Esports Avatars.&#x20;

### What type of events/tournaments can be hosted?

The possibilities are endless, and offerings will expand over time based on partnered esports titles and Web3 projects, brands involved, and functionality that [OneDAO](/metaverse/onedao) votes on. Based on the current roadmap, here are some of the future options:

# OneDAO

![](/files/1LFjIl5nGf9Ql2z8DOY0)

Don’t wait to be told what to do. *Jump in and write, build, create.* When something you do aligns with the mission of the DAO it will find ways to reward your participation.

Contributors are community members that have created something of value for OneDAO through their grit and effort, including:

* Author and pass a proposal that will be a landmark decision for OneDAO
* Help others in the community above and beyond what is asked of you
* Hop in on projects and start taking on tasks/responsibilities
* Attend weekly guild meetings
* Establish processes and procedures that elevate participation from other members

## Structure

[Metapass](/metaverse/metapass) holders can actively participate in Guilds with governance being limited to token and metarena owners.

### Council

A mix of staff, community, and advisors who oversee all guild proposals, legal support and multi-sig management.

* Guild Leads
* Legal
* Multi-sig

### Guild Leaders

Specialized leaders manage teams of contributors and oversee the day-to-day operations of a guild. Guild leaders are voted in based on the track record of contribution for executing projects over sustained periods. Guild leaders are empowered to set key priorities, allocate budgets for bounties or rewards, and ultimately are responsible for that guild's success. Guild leads are allocated a salary each season that ensures accountability and rewards innovation.

### **Member**

Members that power each guild – specialized token holders that join based on skills and interest. Contributors are compensated based on their contribution level via social graphs and guild and program budgets.

## Guilds

![](/files/emnXAgMrNV4hLY7K8wkI)

Guilds are workgroups that organize specialist skill sets into a single location. Guilds are the foundation of OneDAO and are made up of individual collectives. Creating a guild gives DAO members a way to group together and offers the community direct access to a source of skilled labor. Anyone that holds a metapass can participate in a guild.

### Marketing

**Primary Goal:** Increasing the number of token holders

The Marketing guild plays a significant role in the development and growth of the ecosystem. This includes referring new users, creating social media and marketing content, advocating at conferences and events, and creating educational content that better serves new and existing users of web3.

| Program          | Details                                                                                                                                       |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Education** | Create education content, guides and resources for the entire web3 community, new and old. |
| **Marketing** | Establish ongoing Marketing activations that promote the value of the ecosystem and bring new users to the platform. |
| **Partnerships** | Acquisition and continued support of new partners and their communities |
| **Research** | Understand what the future of web3 looks like through engaging with other projects, talking to the community, attending conferences and more. |
| **Social Media** | Maintain our social media presence across all major platforms and define our voice accordingly. |

### Earning Tokens

#### **Tips**

These come from other OneDAO contributors for valuable or desirable contributions in the moment. (For work done, well-spoken comments, answering member questions, or whatever the tipper values) - Tips are sent to the wallet connected to your username in Dework.

#### Bounties

Bounties can be posted by Arena owners and Team Leads and will be posted in the #bounty-board channel. Bounties can come in the form of one-time or recurring job requests. Some bounties can only be claimed if you have the correct role tag. After claiming, it’s your responsibility to coordinate with the bounty poster. Payment is made upon delivery of requested action or material and can come in the form of a tip (Collabland/tip.cc), or through a guild or project during their scheduled pay round (direct to ETH wallet).

#### **Compensation**

Retroactive remuneration for part or full-time contribution to a Guild. Rewards are determined by each Guild during the seasonal funding process. Roles are typically elected positions and offer a stable inflow of $ARNA for the duration of that role. To be considered for a role you must be active within that Guild or project and nominate yourself during an election cycle. Internships are available for some roles and compensation is shared between the role holder and the apprentice.

#### **Grants**

These are awarded to projects deemed useful to the growth of OneDAO or the community at large. You can earn some of this grant money by contributing to a Guild or project, either in a role or by claiming bounties. Do you have an amazing idea for a project? You can build a team within OneDAO, form a proposal, and apply for a grant! Project proposals must be posted to the OneDAO forum for seven days, and accepted proposals must be submitted to Grants Committee for final consideration.

# Tokenomics

We're launching two tokens as the foundations of the esports metaverse economy. The first of these is our primary token, [$ARNA](/economy/tokenomics/esport), and can be bought, staked, earned, and sold while interacting on the platform. **xARNA** is our staking token for holders that stake their $ARNA

[**BYTE**](/economy/tokenomics/byte) is a **utility token** spent to activate and upgrade arenas and can be earned through active participation on and off the platform and can't be purchased.

# ARNA

{% hint style="info" %}
**Total Supply:** 1,000,000,000

$ARNA is an ERC-20 utility token that serves as the primary utility asset for transactions and represents ownership in Esports One.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

![](/files/CHKvI8NKc2ZP0A7SDrbL)

### What is $ARNA?

Our primary token, **ARNA**, is fungible governance, staking, and access token made for gamers and esports fans. Over the next six years, One (1) Billion ARNA tokens will be minted and distributed and used to power our entire platform and ecosystem through multiple utilizations. Users can acquire ESPORT tokens via direct purchase, contest rewards, staking incentives, and through ASSET sales in the marketplace.

ESPORT tokens are used to mint and purchase NFT assets and staking to gain deeper access to the platform. The tokens revenue is captured via the [Economy](/economy/monetization).

### What is $ARNA used for?

The **ARNA** token is the catalyst of the ecosystem and provides a way for players to compete in fantasy contests. Players can assemble a team of digital trading cards representing specific pro-players that get benchmarked against their real-world performance, determining how well their team does. Our vast array of league types makes competing accessible to anyone.

![](/files/9HTQY1Vy9VIr3C6aPiiV)

## Stake to Play

Token staking is a consensus mechanism where users are incentivized to lock up their tokens in exchange for rewards ([token staking explained](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiDtX1quIWA)).

To address the issues we see in "Play-to-Earn" blockchain games, our team has created a new way to play, "**Stake-to-Play.**" This method encourages users to stake their **$ARNA** token, which, in addition to yield and other rewards, unlocks access to fantasy leagues and contests based on the amount they have staked.

### Why should I stake $ARNA?

Through our staking method, you can play how and when you want and never have to worry about losing money or time. When you stake **ARNA**, you are rewarded with **xARNA,** which provides contest access, account features, and unique experiences based on the amount and duration the tokens are staked. The ultimate value for staking **ARNA** will derive from access and status, with more features introduced over time to incentivize staking.

The initial rate of **ARNA** to **xARNA** is 1:1, but as rewards are added, one **xARNA** will be worth increasingly more **ARNA**.&#x20;

### **Metarena Access**

Instead of risking tokens to participate in contests, access to Arena is based on the number of tokens staked to the ecosystem.

<table><thead><tr><th width="209">Arena Tier</th><th>$ARNA Staked</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Tier 0</strong></td><td>50</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Tier 1</strong></td><td>500</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Tier 2</strong></td><td>1,500</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Tier 3</strong></td><td>5,000</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Governance

* Participate directly in the future of the esports metaverse.
* Accept new partners and brands.
* Voting on platform proposals, token allocations & distributions.
* Determine new game titles supported.

## Additional Use

### Buyback

A specific portion of transaction fees will be used to buy back **$ARNA** tokens on the open market, which will be transferred to the treasury and staking reward pools.

### LP Pools

**$ARNA** holders can participate in various token pools and programs by staking their **$ARNA** tokens. By providing liquidity, participants will earn rewards in yield, exclusive arena access, and premium features.&#x20;

### Governance

We believe in giving our community the power to influence decisions and incentivize active participation. We're doing this through the creation of a DAO. The **$ARNA** Token will act as a governance instrument, enabling token owners and verified creators to vote and influence new features and product expansion decisions. The DAO verification board will most importantly approve new partners and certify their token and NFT authenticity.

Anyone that holds **$ARNA** will have the ability to participate in the community DAO. Those that actively participate in the DAO will earn rewards & incentives associated with their level of involvement and will have access to future councils and leadership teams with even greater token allocations. Ultimately, participating in the DAO will provide you with the ability to:

* Voting on new game titles to support
* Delegating voting membership
* Approving new investments
* Defining and submitting new proposals
* Onboarding brand partners & providing support
* Defining new platform features and integrations, including 3rd party support.
* Much more to come

Tokens align communities and can be used to deposit energy, attention, and alignment. Without a token, there is no coherenc&#x65;**.** Our BYTE token will provide an on-ramp for users into the world of the esports metaverse.

### What are $BYTE tokens?

![](/files/t5QQfbpLF5kHoRQt4Egf)

Blockchain gaming should be accessible to everyone; this is how we can help new crypto users start their journey. BYTE is a new type of currency that provides endless possibilities for communities to reward and promote fandom. Contrary to how P2E utility tokens typically operate, BYTE can also be earned through free-to-play mechanics.

The BYTE token is unique to each district and used for marketplace purchases, card upgrades, and enhancing arenas.

### How do I acquire BYTE?

Users can earn BYTE in many ways, including participating in free and staked fantasy contests, opening card packs, creator giveaways, missions/achievements, and 3rd party integrations with social & content platforms (Twitch, Discord, YouTube) in addition to game publishers.

The higher the tier Metapass, the In addition to ARNA tokens, once a Metarena achieves a specific tier, they will receive BYTE that can be used to reward gameplay.&#x20;

# Distribution

Before the public sale in 2022, there will be a series of private sales for investors that will provide the initial capital to launch the token, develop the web and mobile ecosystems and acquire additional creators.

Private sale investors will have a 12-month lock-up. After this period, 10% (16M) of the tokens will unlock, followed by 7.5% (12M) each quarter for three years.

<table><thead><tr><th width="175">Name</th><th width="150" align="center">Phase 1</th><th width="166.3448275862069" align="center">Phase 2</th><th align="center">Phase 3</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Discount</strong></td><td align="center">75%</td><td align="center">70%</td><td align="center">60%</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Total Raise</strong></td><td align="center">$3M</td><td align="center">$3M</td><td align="center">$4M</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Supply %</strong></td><td align="center">6%</td><td align="center">5%</td><td align="center">5%</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Token Amount</strong></td><td align="center">60M</td><td align="center">50M</td><td align="center">50M</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Treasury

> **350M** (36%)
>
> Linearly (1.67%) each month for five years

The role of the treasury is to oversee the Esports One assets that ensure maximum value is returned to owners & players. The treasury is made up of individual pools that contribute directly to the growth of the ecosystem.

Treasury pools help to ensure that the platform accrues values towards the token. The revenues generated from Esports One are configured via smart contracts and distributed across each stakeholder to provide the necessary support for arena owners and players, as well as each of their underlying communities, and the resources needed to develop an exceptional user experience and expand the market globally.

#### Arena Pool

![Arena Pool Distribution](/files/ixv6u39hRUYVTSeq6OUB)

The arena pool is designed to ensure revenue generated from fantasy accrues value to the token. Over time, the fund will become decentralized as we implement the OneDAO that benefits the token ecosystem. This pool will be used to supply rewards for staking yield and contest rewards. Any fees resulting from buy-ins, token purchases, and marketplace purchases are distributed first to the Treasury and then reallocated back into the ecosystem.

#### Grants Pool

By integrating our token, we will work with 3rd party game publishers to provide them with their own allocations of tokens.

#### Liquidity & Staking Pool

The liquidity & staking pool is designated to reward staking through yield and exclusive value and access. After the first year, governance will migrate to the DAO to determine the mechanisms for providing token loans to liquidity providers and listing partners, ensuring a strong liquid market early on. Active owners and managers will generate additional yield based on their activity and program involvement.&#x20;

The Platform Pool represents the **$ARNA** tokens owned by the company that comes from the proceeds of sales of company-owned assets. The **$ARNA** generated from the Company Treasury will be locked up for 12 months and then sold back into the market to pay operational expenses.

### DAO Treasury

> **150M** (16%)

[**OneDAO**](/metaverse/onedao) is used to incentivize and promote engagement throughout the communities in the ecosystem. The fund's distribution is determined each season by proposal and then allocated to each guild's budget. Individual guilds activate individual programs that run for a period of time, with the allocation amount and duration determined by the DAO council. If there are excess tokens at the end of a season, they are added to the reserve for future programs.

# Monetization

## Revenue Streams

![](/files/9cSAogPNhdYr4nkKFIbU)

The $ARNA token will provide immediate liquidity to players, creators, and investors, with the value ultimately being derived by the experiences built within our metaverse. Our focus on creating new business models in esports and gaming will set us apart from other platforms. We believe that fantasy is just the first layer of the esports metaverse.

# Growth

Work in progress

With a team of esports and gaming industry veterans, we have built a network of relationships that we'll leverage to facilitate long-term deals that further the growth of the ecosystem. Additionally, we will utilize the following tools for growth:

### Discord Bot

Our discord bot, OneBot, will provide arena owners with custom tools and features for their own communities. This will provide an easy on-ramp for new users to participate in the ecosystem without leaving Discord.

### Partnerships

By establishing a partner program, we incentivize partners to take an active part in the growth and success of the platform. This will establish new ways for communities to interact with one another while also elevating how supporters showcase their fandom.

### Digital & In-Person Events

In addition to virtual gatherings and town halls, we'll run regular activations at major web3, esports, and gaming events & conferences.

### Marketing Guild

Our largest and most prominent OneDAO guild that will focus on education, onboarding and partnership building.

# Marketplace

![](/files/meojnzRmCRHNpQkHBjT5)

There is no question that when it comes to marketplaces for NFTs, options are limited and typically don't reward community members for their participation. An ecosystem as large as ours deserves its own tools and resources, especially considering the goal of becoming a decentralized metaverse. The Esports One marketplace will be a gamified system that rewards members for buying/selling and has nominal marketplace fees. A percentage of marketplace fees will go directly to the Community Treasury to fund community initiatives and giveaways.

Our marketplace and auction house are being developed, and will be released in the coming months. You will still be able to trade any Esports One NFTs on other marketplaces, but in reality, why trade somewhere that doesn't reward you or have fees that favor you?

### Technology

Hybrid approach that utilizes the [Wyvern Protocol](https://wyvernprotocol.com/) and would allow users to buy, sell and trade NFTs with our own platform token, stablecoins, and other ERC-20 tokens. This ensures that marketplace isn't reliant on the platform blockchain.

Data will be processed both on the blockchain as well as in local databases, allowing for faster and better resource allocation for indexing, sorting and collection of information.

# Roadmap

![](/files/Zgu4XKOTeCmoamgxEiv9)

<figure><img src="/files/eGgkD595769AD5ti7X3S" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Supporting New Game Titles <a href="#how-we-onboard-new-titles" id="how-we-onboard-new-titles"></a>

Expanding into new game titles is relatively formulaic and comes down to long-term sustainability. We are currently adding Valorant and Counterstrike, followed by Rocket League, and are in talks with several Web3 Esports Game Titles.&#x20;

Following the process of approving a new game title to expand into, we begin the process of data collection.

![](/files/Xt74tipBLxifba7i0n3m)

### How do we obtain game data? <a href="#how-do-we-obtain-game-data" id="how-do-we-obtain-game-data"></a>

Suppose the publisher or another 3rd party provides an API. In that case, we will investigate the stats provided and their quality as this can shorten our time to market as we get a head start on publishing stats ahead of having our computer vision solution for the game ready. We also use API data to validate our computer vision (CV) models to ensure quality and accuracy.

Our CV models are developed using Python, and then once we meet a specific accuracy rate, we transfer the trained models to our production CV system, OneVision. We then validate our ML models using a mix of API gathered data (if available) and annotated data.&#x20;

Because of how we use GraphQL to insulate consumers of data from our DB schema, we take an iterative approach to building the stats interface for a game by continuously expanding it with new stats values as they become available.

![](/files/mCfwtuAImkofxKogNrTo)

### Stats Tiers

Stats are categorized by tier based on the following:&#x20;

* Current utilization and comprehension by the general public and potential users
* Analytical value across multiple aspects of the game
* Ability to provide in-depth analysis and secondary supporting stats
* The overall difficulty of retrieving and calculating the statistic

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Tier S" %}
Required to support the game title
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Tier A" %}
Essential to have but could function without and would negatively affect the user experience
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Tier B" %}
Is nice to have but will have little impact on the user experience.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Tier C" %}
Will be stored if it requires little development overhead.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

# Architecture

![](/files/hiJh7zHuqA6N4c1Co6V3)

## Components

Our token ecosystem is broken up into separate component areas. The marketplace for NFTs, and personalized arena hub and feed. The hub is an overview of the owner's arena including any custom NFTs, current and past contests and social feed, Discord integrations and filtered marketplace for reselling and trading by fans.

![](/files/BW4cxHOTpmCHOA3LyHnI)

* Owners will mint their ASSETS using the custom NFT builder that's linked to the ERC-1155 token for the respective ARENA.
* The ASSETS are uploaded to IPFS via Pinata Cloud.
* Metamask is a Web3 provider which acts as the intermediary between the user and blockchain

### Front-End

Frontend is developed with React and Node.js.

Wallet integration is done via Metamask, Bitski, Wallet Connect, Trust Wallet, etc. These wallets are the primary asset storage tool and communication gateway to the blockchain API. # FAQ

### General

<details>

<summary>What is esports/fantasy esports?</summary>

Esports stands for “electronic sports” and most commonly refers to any video game title(s) with a competitive professional scene such as CS:GO, League of Legends, DOTA 2, Fortnite, etc.

Similar to fantasy football, fantasy esports is a way for fans to battle each other using teams comprised of their favorite players. The winner is determined by fantasy points accrued by their players’ stats in their professional matches.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How are we creating a metaverse?</summary>

Esports One is creating an interactive virtual map, that through the use of crypto tokens and utility-based NFTs, will elevate the experience of online gaming communities, competition, and esports fandom. This virtual map will consist of digital properties, called arenas, for communities of all backgrounds and goals to create, play, and grow.&#x20;

Dedicated arena owners can upgrade their land to acquire new features, more significant reward allocations, cosmetics, and other bonuses. We will also have game experiences within our metaverse, such as fantasy esports, predictions, game missions, and eventually other gaming/esport titles offered by partners and arena owners.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why crypto and why now?</summary>

We have always prided ourselves on our fantasy platform, being “all-in-one” with everything you could want as a gamer or esports fan. Yet, we always ask our team, “What are we missing” or “How do we improve.” With the innovations of Web 3.0, we realized that crypto would also significantly improve the international user experience. Specifically, it comes to claiming prizes and earning rewards due to its instantaneous nature, global usage, and blockchain security. On top of that, we also recognized the importance of ownership for digital rewards/assets for gamers and fans.

Decentralized ownership will play a significant role in the future of gaming. We are working with our community, advisors, and legal team to establish a DAO that gives our community the power to build the metaverse they envision.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How are we different?</summary>

We're not just creating another NFT collection. We're not just launching the next DAO. And we're not launching our own token with no utility.\
\
Instead, we're taking each of these pillars of web3 and combining them to form a true metaverse, fully decentralized, from day one.\
\
Our NFTs will be mutable, used to participate in experiences like fantasy esports. They will provide special access to holders.

Our token will incentivize and reward governance participation. It will be a mechanism that can be staked, earned, spent and redeemed. It will enable true vested interest from holders and investors alike.

Our DAO is the cornerstone of the platform. Enabled through the implementation of guilds, each with their own budgets, members and initiatives, with the primary goal of creating more value of the token.\
\
Each pillar is a monumental undertaking on it's own. But if done methodically and in conjunction with one another, they will be able to support the other and bring to life what will truly be the future of the metaverse.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What are the benefits of blockchain?</summary>

**Distributed Ledger Technology** All network participants have access to the distributed ledger and its immutable record of transactions. With this shared ledger, transactions are recorded only once, eliminating the duplication of effort typical of traditional business networks.

**Immutable Records** No participant can change or tamper with a transaction after being recorded to the shared ledger. If a transaction record includes an error, a new transaction must be added to reverse the error, and both transactions are then visible.

**Smart Contracts** A [smart contract](/resources/glossary), like any contract, establishes the terms of an agreement. But unlike a traditional contract, a smart contract’s terms are executed as code running on a blockchain like Ethereum. Smart contracts allow developers to build apps that take advantage of blockchain security, reliability, and accessibility while offering sophisticated peer-to-peer functionality — everything from loans and insurance to logistics and gaming.

</details>

### Metapass

<details>

<summary>What is a Metapass?</summary>

The Metapass is your passport into the esports and gaming metaverse built by Esports One. They are standalone access NFTs that will reward holders and unlock future in-game utility within the esports and gaming metaverse. In the same way that a passport allows travel from country to country, your Metapass will grant access to Arenas.

By holding a Metapass, you will receive exclusive benefits, including everything from arena giveaways, NFT presales, elevated Discord status, digital and in-person events, staking rewards, airdrops (tokens, player cards, partner collabs), and much more.

Additionally, owners of a Metapass will be the inaugural members of OneDAO, the governance and community-run organization that rewards members with tokens for actively participating in the ecosystem's growth.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How much do they cost?</summary>

During the mint you can claim Metapass Carbon & Gold for free, including the gas.

Metapass Standard is also free, except for the gas fees which should only be a few cents since the NFTs are being minted on Polygon.<br>

After mint they will be available on secondary exchanges.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where can I buy a Metapass?</summary>

The official collection on Opensea can be found here: <https://opensea.io/collection/metapass-genesis>\
\
Be careful of fake/scam collections and only use the links provided by Esports One staff.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How many are available?</summary>

Each edition will only be available for claiming for a limited amount of time.

Metapass Carbon: 1,000\
Metapass Gold: 3,000\
Metapass Standard: Unlimited

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I sell my metapass?</summary>

Of course. But once you release your Metapass to someone else, all the benefits and access will transfer with it, including OneDAO and access to the Arena presale.

</details>

### Metarenas

<details>

<summary>What are Arenas?</summary>

Arenas are the foundation for building a thriving community within the metaverse. Each arena is an ERC-721 plot of digital real-estate that hosts gaming and esports-centric contests and events. Once an owner stakes an arena, they begin to receive regular allocations of tokens to incentivize active participation in their arena.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How can I get an arena?</summary>

Since there will only be 1,000 arenas during season one, we are building a reserve list of community members, partners, and influencers. Additionally, we will be running various giveaways and contests to secure an arena early. Your best chance is to pick up a Metapass Carbon prior to release.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do arena levels work?</summary>

As you stake your arena and participate within the ecosystem, your arena will accrue experience and levels—the higher your arena's level, the greater the rewards. This increases the value of your arena via custom cosmetics and access to new features and experiences.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where will arenas be minted?</summary>

The arenas will be minted and activated on our very own site.

</details>

### Tokenomics

<details>

<summary>What protocols are we using?</summary>

In addition to [ERC-20](https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/standards/tokens/erc-20/) and [ERC-721](https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/721), we're utilizing a new standard for our NFT assets, [ERC-1155](https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/1155). This allows for the management of single and multiple token types and enables us to deploy contracts that include multiple tokens of the same type and a combination of fungible and non-fungible tokens.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the difference between each protocol?</summary>

### **ERC-20**

**$ARNA & $BYTE**

The token standard is used for creating and issuing smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. Smart contracts can then be used to create a smart property or tokenized assets that people can invest in. ERC stands for "Ethereum request for comment," and the ERC20 standard was implemented in 2015.

They are used across the ecosystem by owners, managers, brands, and organizations. Allows for the exchange of ASSETS.

### **ERC-721**

#### **METARENA/ASSETS**

An open standard that describes how to build non-fungible or unique tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. While most tokens are fungible (every token is the same as every other token), ERC-721 tokens are all unique. Think of them like rare, one-of-a-kind collectibles. Ensures verifiable scarcity that allows token ownership to be tracked at the individual layer. Each asset has a UUID (Unique Identifier) and optional metadata.

Player cards and user avatars are considered to be assets.

### ERC-1155

#### **METAPASS/ASSETS**

The first token standard that allows users to mint fungible (identical) and non-fungible (unique) assets in a single, smart contract—enabling the creation of every type of asset, from digital currency to tokenized real estate up to gaming items and digital art.

ERC-1155 is the perfect protocol since it allows arenas to evolve, expand, and adapt as the ecosystem grows.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What are $ARNA tokens?</summary>

The $ARNA token is our primary utility token and will be publicly available on third-party exchanges and directly from our website. Everything within the ecosystem is backed by $ARNA and used to incentivize staking, whether in the form of arenas or $ARNA tokens itself.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What are $BYTE tokens?</summary>

$BYTE are social tokens used to engage and grow your community. Users can earn $BYTE in several ways, both on Esports One and through 3rd party integrations. Users can spend BYTES in the marketplace on card packs, unlock access to events, purchase arena experiences, and tip other users and arena owners.&#x20;

Most importantly, $BYTE is our governance token and is rewarded to DAO participants.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How does stake to play work?</summary>

Stake to play is our spin of "Play to Earn" and is how we promote shared ownership across the ecosystem.&#x20;

Users can "stake" in two different ways.

1. Arena Staking
2. Token Staking

Arena staking is how individual arenas are activated and provide owners with passive token allocations while incentivizing community building.

Token staking makes it easy for anyone to join our metaverse and experience all it offers. Traditionally, individuals are asked to pay or risk crypto to interact with a platform in the crypto world. In the esports metaverse, we use staking.

</details>

### OneDAO

<details>

<summary>What is a DAO?</summary>

The acronym is short for "Decentralized Autonomous Organization." In short, a DAO is an open-source blockchain protocol that is governed by rules set forth by its elected members. DAOs are a community of individuals who share a common interest (or many).

Establishing DAOs allows our community in the esports metaverse to decide future features for the roadmap, reward systems, invest in other projects or companies, and much more. DAOs are just the first step in supporting our community and the beginning of our platform being community-owned.

[Whiteboard Crypto: What is a DAO?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHm0uUPqmVE)

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the difference between the Community &#x26; Arena DAO?</summary>

**Arena DAO**\
Available only to Metarena owners and users that have staked $ARNA. This allows holders of Arenas to govern themselves under the Community DAO and shape the future of all arenas.

**Community DAO** \
Allows users who own a Metapass to submit proposals and participate in the governance of the token and community. The Community DAO will be able to direct funds from the Community treasury as they see fit.

</details>

### NFT

<details>

<summary>How do we store files and images?</summary>

We are utilizing the [IPFS](https://ipfs.io/) file-sharing system as it can be leveraged to store and share large files more efficiently. It relies on cryptographic hashes that can easily be stored on a blockchain. Nonetheless, IPFS does not permit users to share files with selected parties.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do we manage metadata?</summary>

Metadata connection uses IPFS URI.

* A Uniform Resource Identifier, or URI, specifies a particular piece of content in each context. The URI scheme determines the context (appended to the URI as a prefix, followed by ://). The URI scheme for IPFS is simply ipfs.
* IPFS URIs are the canonical representation for an IPFS link. The ipfs scheme makes it unambiguous that the CID (uniquely identifies a piece of content) refers to content on IPFS and not some other system.
* We use an IPFS URI to link from smart contracts to any external data stored using IPFS, including metadata that describes and contextualizes the token.
* IPFS URIs are also a way to link from within a token's metadata to images and other assets stored on IPFS.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where can I buy and sell NFTs?</summary>

You will be able to buy and sell our NFTs directly from our marketplace using our tokens and ethereum. Additionally, NFTs will be accessible from 3rd party exchanges.

</details>

### Security/Legal

<details>

<summary>How are we preventing bots and hackers from disrupting the launch?</summary>

Wallets will be limited to only one Arena mint during the reserve list private sale. We will have users verify their wallets through Discord to help prevent bots. In terms of our smart contracts, our team of developers and advisors is confident in the contract structure. Additionally, we will have our smart contract audited by [CertiK](https://certik.com).

As always, a significant part of crypto-security is preventing silly mistakes. Only a few of our team will have access to announcement channels in Discord. Our Discord will have constant reminders to turn off private DMs, don’t click links outside of the #official-links channel, and more typical guards in place.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do we secure our wallets?</summary>

We minimize the responsibility of our hot wallets and limit them to referral and reserve lists. Other wallets are strictly cold storage and are responsible for updating the platform with new contracts and parameters.&#x20;

Cold wallets use 2 out of 3 [multi-signature wallets](https://github.com/gnosis/MultiSigWallet), with owners of the multi-signatures being three hardware wallets.

The wallet can upgrade our ESPORT token and the ability to extend functionality.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do we ensure NFTs are minted securely?</summary>

All NFTs are created and uploaded to the IPFS, a peer-to-peer file transfer network secured by the blockchain and provides lifetime access to each token’s data. Only authorized users will be able to mint tokens, which includes creators. This allows for additional procedures to verify candidates for minting their own NFTs.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is Esports One policies regarding copyright?</summary>

Our mission is to grow communities and operate with transparency as this is your platform. Due to the variety of NFT assets on our site, we have several policies:

* Arenas - Owners of arenas are free to use their NFT commercially.
* Player Cards - Due to cards having team copyrighted logos and player likeness, you are not permitted to commercialize Player Cards.
* Avatars - These are your representation of yourself in the esports metaverse, so you are free to use your Avatar as you wish.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How are we addressing the environmental concerns?</summary>

Initially, we planned on launching an NFT project in Summer 2021. Still, after our team researched the environmental impact of specific blockchains and consensus processes, we decided it would be best to wait till sustainable blockchain technology progressed even further. In the last several months, an explosion of innovation within crypto has led to more sustainable options like [Polygon](https://polygon.technology/), a protocol that operates off of proof-of-stake, allowing for minimal energy usage and fast transactions while maintaining the security of proof-of-work consensus.

Additionally, 1% of all transactions will go towards conservation and environmental impact causes and charities.

Environmental impact is a top priority of ours, and we will regularly update our policies in the best interest of the environment.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Private Key</summary>

A private key is essentially a password — typically a set of words — that allows you to access your wallet and manage your crypto assets. You should never share your private key.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Public Key</summary>

A public key is similar to an email address or username and will typically be your wallet address. Unlike your private key, you share your public key with others, to allow you to send or receive tokens and nfts.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Reserve List</summary>

Reserve List (formerly whitelist) has multiple meanings in a blockchain context. First, it may refer to a list compiled by a blockchain start-up to assess the legitimacy of potential investors — using identity verification and intended investment amounts — that want to participate in an upcoming funding round. Second, it may refer to when cryptocurrency exchanges or wallets ask a user to verify the authenticity of a withdrawal address by “whitelisting” the address. This is done to prevent the user from becoming a victim of fraudulent withdrawals from their wallet or exchange account by malicious actors.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Smart Contract</summary>

Smart contracts are self-executing contracts with the contract terms between buyer and seller directly written into lines of code. They run on the blockchain, so they are stored on a public database and cannot be changed. The transactions in a smart contract are processed by the blockchain, which means they can be sent automatically without a third party.&#x20;

Our smart contracts are used to mint and configure unique NFTs as well as tokens for our creators.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Staking</summary>

Staking is the process through which a blockchain network user 'stakes' or locks their cryptocurrency assets on a network as part of the consensus mechanism, thus ensuring the security and functionality of the chain. Staked assets are usually held in a validator node or crypto wallet, and in order to encourage staking most projects reward the holders of staked tokens with annualized financial returns, which are typically paid out on a regular basis. Staking is a core feature of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain protocols, and each blockchain project which incorporates a staking feature has its own policies for staking requirements and withdrawal restrictions.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Staked Incentive</summary>

A token balance held by a smart contract whose purpose is to influence user behavior. A staking reward is designed to encourage positive behavior by giving the user a bonus in their token balance based on the stake size.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Utility Token</summary>

A token that utilizes some functionality of a smart contract system or that has an intrinsic value defined by its respective smart contract system.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Wallet</summary>

A device or service that stores users' public and private keys, allowing them to interact with various blockchains and to send and receive crypto assets. Wallets can be digital (software) or physical (hardware), hot (connected to the internet) or cold (disconnected from the internet), custodial (a trusted third party has control of a user’s private keys) or non-custodial (only the user controls their private keys).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Web 1.0</summary>

Web 1.0 was initially launched in the early 1990s when the internet first began to enjoy mainstream adoption. Web 1.0 was primarily a static, read-only infrastructure which generally lacked the more expanded functionalities of Web 2.0. Web 1.0’s infrastructure was made up of many companies that were mostly unable to maintain their monopoly of the internet because they were replaced by more interactive, capable systems that became more widespread in the early 2000s. Today, many see a new evolution of the internet dawning, as blockchain systems seek to foster a more sophisticated, democratic, user-centric version of the internet: Web 3.0.

<summary>Web 2.0</summary>

The realization of Web 2.0 began in the early 2000’s. This second wave of internet innovation is characterized by its read-write and interactive design model. Platforms such as Amazon, Facebook, Airbnb, Alibaba, and Twitter led the charge in Web 2.0 development, offering dynamic and multi-functional application experiences across all our devices. However, many criticize Web 2.0 for being too centralized, and for paving a path toward excessive focus on profit, unreasonable advertising, mass surveillance, decreased privacy, and widespread data theft. In response, the Web 3.0 movement seeks to leverage blockchain technology to flip the Web 2.0 model on its head and link programs directly with each other.

<summary>Web 3.0</summary>

The term Web 3.0 refers to a vision of the third generation of computing, which anticipates that technologies like blockchain will decentralize the internet and disintermediate Web 2.0 companies like Facebook, Amazon, LinkedIn, and Apple to enable the online exchange of value, and allow users to own their data. Web 3.0 is designed to benefit all participants using a peer-to-peer (P2P) model for websites, applications, and the internet as a whole. It will focus in many ways, on producing a machine-readable data-driven semantic web. Many believe blockchain and crypto are central to the realization of the open, public, censorship-resistant, borderless, free internet: Web 3.0.

A report-style document that explains a complex issue in relation to a specific industry or field, and discusses how an enterprise solves that problem. Whitepapers typically introduce a business model and development plan. In the context of blockchain, a whitepaper is one of the first documents that is created after a project has a working product and funding. It also acts as a pitch to new investors to help the company further their funding process. For blockchain-specific whitepapers, the technical architecture, token economics, team, and other data are also commonly outlined.

# Our Team

Our team comprises longtime esports and crypto veterans, with our CEO, Matt, making his entry back in 2010 when he founded one of the largest League of Legends websites, Leaguepedia. After selling the company in 2014, Matt transitioned to running Product, Engineer, and Contest as one of the first employees at Curse Gaming, Azubu, and later Unikrn. He saw firsthand the lack of engaging fan experiences powered by real-time data and analytics. In 2017, he tackled this problem firsthand and founded Esports One. Using NFTs, computer vision, and historical + live data, we are reinventing the fantasy esports experience for gamers and fans worldwide.

![](/files/DQXwyABKuLYrJn1XO9bF)

Launched out of MIT in 2017, Esports One took a picks and shovels approach to the esports & gaming industry. Our real-time computer vision solution allowed us to automate data capture and circumvent API limitations. This solution made it possible to analyze and understand gameplay like never before, leading to what would be referred to as the yellow first-down line of esports.

Today we're disrupting the antiquated fantasy ecosystem while putting the power in the hands of the creators. Our token-economic model, enriched by dynamically evolving NFTs, provides new monetization opportunities that elevates fan engagement to all-new levels.

Esports One?**

# FAQ

General**

&#x20;

### **Metapass卡片NFT**

#### **什么是Metapass？**

* Metapass Carbon：1000个
* Metapass Gold：3000个
* Metapass Standard：无限量（但是领取周期只有两周）

Arenas**

Metapass Carbon.

Виртуальные арены, принадлежащие создателям, брендам, киберспортивным командам и вам, сообществу, будут использоваться для проведения виртуальных мероприятий, например, киберспортивных фэнтези событий. Наградой за участие будут наши токены. Члены сообщества, в роли менеджеров арен, смогут создавать фэнтезийные соревновательные составы, используя для этого карточки игроков в виде NFT, которые имеют разную редкость и характеристики.       &#x20;

* Геймифицированный фэндом;
* Создание 3D виртуального интерактивного мира;
* Партнерские отношения с брендами, командами и создателями контента;
* Доступность киберспорта, криптовалюты и NFT;
* Устойчивая и долгосрочная ценность владения токеном $ESPORT;
* Раскрытие настоящего потенциала NFT.

* Построения простого и понятного вовлечения в мир криптовалют и NFT фанатов, брендов и создателей контента;
* Создания игрового опыта в виртуальной среде и интеграций, которые привлекают и вознаграждают игроков;
* Образования новых и устойчивых источников дохода для любого создателя – крупного или мелкого;
* Создания виртуального и реального взаимодействия между поклонниками киберспорта по всему миру;
* Монетизации через совместное владение;
* Стирания границ между брендами и создателями контента.

# FAQ

·      Метапасс Карбон – 1000 штук;

·      Метапасс Золото – 3000 штук;

CS:GO, League of Legends, DOTA 2, Fortnite и многие другие.

&#x20;
